Hakuouki: Kyoto Ranbu [review pt.1]

Today this post will be dedicated for the two movies of Hakuouki. The movies have the same plotline as the series except for a few details that are different.

We could say that Hakuouki Kyoto Ranbu = Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan and Hakuouki Shikon Soukyuu = Hakuouki Hekkeretsuroku
Note that this post will be a review for Kyoto Ranbu and that there will be a post for Shikon Soukyuu later on, otherwise this will be too long.

But first let's take a look at the plotline for people new to this series:

Chizuru Yukimura heads to Kyoto to search for her father, finding herself attacked by madden men before they are cut down by members of the Shinsengumi who take her into custody for interrogation. Upon learning that she is a girl and the daughter of a doctor who developed the Water of Life elixir that turns those that drink it into invincible blood lusting berserkers called Rasetsu (羅刹, "Furies" in English dub), the Shinsengumi decide to keep her as an aide in their search. In time, as the Shinsengumi aid the shogunate in the Bakufu, Chizuru begins to develop a bond with the Shinsengumi and its aloof member Toshizo Hijikata. However, as time passes, Chizuru and Shinsengumi confront a mysterious faction who call themselves Oni (Devils) and that Chizuru is also an Oni with father revealed to be experimenting on the Water of Life to create the Rasetsu to wipe out the human race.

はじめまして...

Hello there,

Please call me JoJo since it's easier to pronounce than my long termed nickname also known as SweetJoJoAh. I'm a 21years old Interior Architecture student that will be graduating this year. This blog has a mainly purpose such as making it a hobby so I still do something else than schoolwork. It also gives me the opportunity to retake my Japanese that i once learned.

But feel free to ask me about anything you want to know. 

It's actually my 5th blog or so that I am starting...I guess i like changes...anyways my main blog for like 2-3 years was a Wordpress blog called "Mangafanatic's Talking about Anime". but together with a friend of mine we stepped out of the Wordpress world... but no worries, both wordpress blogs are still existing! blogs are kinda my diary, so it's precious to me to still keep them and share it with the world. 

So why am I aiming for this blog? 

As you can see, the background is Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan related...even the title...if you translate Hakuouki into English, it would be "Demon of the Fleeting Blossom" where my title of this blog came from. Lately I'm very addicted to Hakuouki, I ended up finishing the 3 seasons, OVA and the movies, which the second one is still not subbed yet, but luckily the movies were a sort of recap of the first two seasons with some changes. But I will make a post for more details of the movies.

But not only will I talk about Hakuouki, if there is an otome-game-turned-into-anime out there i will try to watch it and give reviews of it. The games would be depending if I can find them! 

Other than games, I will sneak peak sometimes my work here. Hauls related to my interests will also be posted here. so those hauls would be mangas, games...
